Simply print out as many as you like and colour them in. You are going to need quite a few so it's a good idea to get as many kids involved as you can. They will love it!
Carefully cut them out and make two holes in each flag where indicated.
Then, get a long piece of string and thread through each hole on the flag in turn, spacing out the triangles evenly along the length of the string.
All done! Simply hang above your party and enjoy your celebrations.
235g butter very soft
235g sugar
4 eggs
235 g self-raising flour
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup raspberry jam
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbs confectioner's sugar
Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Grease 2 8-inch cake tins and line the bottom with greaseproof paper.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
dd the eggs, beating well after each addition, then add the vanilla.
Fold the flour into the butter mixture until you cannot see any flour particles.
Divide the mixture equally between the two tins.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Cool completely.
Take cakes out of the tins and carefully peel off the parchment.
Beat the cream until stiff peaks form.
Spread the jam on top of the bottom layer then spread the whipped cream over that.
Add the top cake and dust with icing sugar.
