Ooh lucky you! A plant is such a thoughtful gift as with just a little bit of love and attention it can last for ages. We've put together a few handy hints to help you take care of your new addition (and don't worry, there's no need to sing to it!)
First things first - best to get your rose plant out of the box and see if it needs a drink. They can be thirsty little things!
Where should I put my rose plant?
Your rose plant will love to be anywhere inside that's bright and not too chilly - between 13 and 21 degrees C (55-70F) is ideal.
How should I look after my rose plant?
Keep the compost moist as rose plants love to drink. Don't over water though - little and often is best. If you've got some plant food, add this to the water every 10 days between April and October as this will help to prolong flowering. Remove any faded flowers or leaves as this encourages new growth.
A few other things to bear in mind:
We're sure we don't need to remind you that your plant will prefer to be upright at all times! We'd also recommend popping your plants on a mat or coaster to protect your surfaces from any spillages or scratches.
